Shippers with large volumes of shipments need many carrier relationships to ensure proper coverage of lanes and good customer service. This usually translates to many individually negotiated rates and agreements with many carriers on many different lanes of traffic. This can mean that the critical pieces of contract information, including negotiated accessorial rates, contract terms and conditions are locked up in file cabinets.
