Clean freight bills through a common platform
Detailed freight bill information: CarrierPoint’s Auto-Audit feature allows online freight bill maintenance, submission, review, audit and approval, using the rating and accessorial information available to both shippers/3pl’s and carriers.
- Line-Haul rates: Line-haul rates are extracted from the CarrierPoint rating engine, or can be provided from an external source.
- Fuel Surcharges: Fuel Surcharge schedules can be created on CarrierPoint, either as a custom schedule or one that is based on one of the DOE standard Fuel Indices. These indices are automatically updated weekly.
- Accessorial Charges: Accessorial schedules can be created, and charges automatically calculated and applied to freight bills. In addition, Shippers/3PL’s can permit or deny individual accessorials that carriers may request online.
- Auto-Approval: Parameters can be set to automatically approve freight bills for payment when submitted online by the carrier, based on a percent or dollar tolerance. If the bill is out of tolerance, it is placed in a Review status for review and resolution prior to approval.
