CarrierPoint's status tracking and delivery confirmation feature of the SelectTender module enables shippers to provide a means for their entire carrier base to supply shipment status information, regardless of the carrier's current technological sophistication.
CarrierPoint can receive shipment information through existing EDI links or through manual entry. The system is driven by exceptions, requesting status updates and providing notification of "at-risk" shipments or allowing customer service to request specific status updates online.
Real-time shipment information is available directly to a shipper's customers or customer service department allowing the most up-to-date information to be accessible to the interested parties. The result is a higher level of customer service with the potential to use low-priced carriers enabled with new technology.
